WOW! I cannot say enough good things about Shanthi and Variety Silks! Her store is so clean and organized and she was so warm and welcoming! Being only 1/2 Indian I felt a little intimidated about being judge about wanting Indian Tradition in my wedding and really researched before choosing a store. Not having any Indian relatives around to help me I felt lost. Her reviews were great so we decided to walk in and look. I felt right at home! She was so sweet and polite and helped me every step of the way. She even came on the day of my wedding to help the girls dress as they never worn a Sari before and I haven’t put one on since I was a kid and had my grandmothers help. She truly had a HUGE part in making my wedding so perfect! I cannot thank her enough! And highly recommend Variety Silks!

I bought a gorgeous lehenga from Variety Silks. Shanti was so helpful. I knew I was going to buy a dress from her store but my mom insisted on stopping by a couple stores on the way. Found nothing, then came to variety silks and I had so many options for what I was looking for and at a great price. Shanti also helped me find gorgeous earrings to go with the dress. I will definitely be going to her for when I need a new dress for a wedding/occasion!

I was invited to my first Sangeet/ Indian wedding and having no idea what I was doing, came to this shop and had the most wonderful and helpful experience. The owner took her time with me, explaining traditions and what was appropriate to wear to each event. She was kind enough to offer me to return the morning of the event to wrap my saree, even before the shop opened. This shop is highly recommended!

The owner, Mrs. Verrappan, is a BEAST! She made a Shervani suit for me…wow! Had to stop myself from just staring at the thing. It. Is. Beautiful!!! My only drawbacks were 1.) that I need to wait for darn near winter to wear it. I was baking in it when I had to try it on. I don’t where I’m wearing it come like October, but I’m WEARING it! and 2.) the choice of shoe that goes with the suit hurt my feet, but Mrs. Verrappan and my daughters were like, ” the price of beauty!” I wish I could’ve argued with them, but I really can’t. I love this suit! I want another…fortunately, I know where I’ll be getting it from… thanks again Mrs. Verrappan!
